This tablet describes a father's sorrow at the death of his son. "My Son who is blind in body, I sadly place this stone. Peace be with you." Our conclusion is that this man's son died of a snake bite to the foot as the artistic description on the reverse of this tablet pictorially seems to indicate. This snake is a rattler indicative to North America. There are several tablets (25+) that we know of depicting rattlesnakes from this Tomb.
