1. (U) This is an interim report on the government of 
Bolivia's proposed delegation to the 62nd United Nations 
General Assembly.  This cable is keyed to paragraph 8 of 
reftel. 
 
A. Attendance of the Head of State. 
 
-- Name and title: 
 
Evo Morales Ayma, President of the Republic of Bolivia 
 
-- Arrival and departure dates to and from New York and other 
U.S. locations, and whether the Head of State will be present 
for the General Debate. 
 
President Morales will be in New York for the entire UNGA 
session.  The plan is for the president to travel to New York 
on September 22 and return to Bolivia on or around September 
29.  President Morales has also expressed a desire to travel 
to Washington, D.C. to attend a private party in honor of a 
Bolivian-born soccer player.  MFA contacts state President 
Morales will likely travel to other states, but were not sure 
of where as of August 2.  MFA contacts stress that President 
Morales tends to make and alter his travel plans up until the 
last minute. President Morales plans to attend the General 
Debate.

to New York. If so, provide the spouse's name and title. 
 
President Morales is single.
